A new tool on the EURES Portal allows jobseekers to specify which skills they have obtained where (within a specific sector), making it easier for employers to find exactly what they are looking for. The skills passport has just been launched for the hospitality and tourism sectors, with others to follow soon.
The hospitality sector is by its nature an environment where international experience, language skills, and mobility are highly advantageous. However, as a jobseeker it can be difficult to explain and prove to employers what a specific role in another country meant in practice. At the same time employers have trouble understanding what skills a potential employee has, just by looking at their CV. The European Hospitality Skills Passport offers an effective and easy-to-use solution.
